“WE PROCLAIM HIM, ADMONISHING AND TEACHING WITH ALL WISDOM SO WE CAN PRESENT EVERYONE PERFECT IN CHRIST.” COLOSSIANS 1:28
Module 7 Lesson 2
How to Create a Brand
In this lesson, we discuss what a brand is and how to build one that mirrors who you are in Christ.
Call to Action:
Listen to the video and take notes.
Write for Insight:
This list helps us develop a signature brand. Branding affects what yoga style we teach, how we present ourselves on the mat, and who we hope to influence as teachers (our target audience).
Make a list of your God-given gifts and talents and see how you could connect those to teaching Christian yoga.
Regarding branding, how do you want to present yourself in Christ to those you serve and teach?
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” ESV
Take Note: Your brand is how you represent yourself as a whole. It is your image, your logo, the style of yoga you teach, and the type of people you target for teaching.
Once we see how our brand is an extension of our God-given personality and gifts, we can quickly build a brand that exonerates that.
Do you plan to give a name to your Christian yoga? Why or Why not?
If you don’t already have a logo, do you plan to create one? Why or Why not?
Take Note: Even if you teach for a studio or other brands, you can still create your own. In fact, it’s important to do this for the longevity of your business.
How do you plan to show up for your students regularly outside of teaching a class? Email, blog, social media are all possible options.
Once you decide how you will show up, choose how frequently you will do this and commit schedule-wise. Create and set dates weekly and monthly when you will consistently be present.
How do you want to create community and connect to your students on social media? What is the one platform you will use to help get the message of your brand and Christian yoga out to others via social media?
