The PerfectFit Christian Yoga Teacher Training (PCYTT) is distinctly Christian, making it a spiritually safe way to practice yoga. The PCYTT is designed around the three vital Christian components of:
Scriptural Use - 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (biblehub.com)
Christian Meditation- Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think on these things. (biblehub.com)
Prayer Ephesians 6:18 Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints. (biblehub.com)
Be ready in Modules 2-4 to break down these individual components for greater clarity, insight, and understanding.
This week we start with Scriptural use, the hallmark of Christian yoga. As trainees, we want a clear understanding of why, how, and when to use scripture in a yoga class format.
Reminder: The PCYTT is adaptable to any type of yoga training make it easy to accommodate all yoga styles.
Be ready to apply what you learn regarding how and when to use Scripture with practice teaching. Since this is a virtual TT, creating videos and sharing them with our PCYTT Facebook group is part of our curriculum and how we learn individually and as a group.
Let’s enjoy this exciting opportunity to jump right in and practice the powerful PerfectFit style while building our confidence and supporting our fellow trainees.
Call To Action:
Memorize the three scriptures listed above (for scriptural use, prayer, and Christian Meditation), so you can easily answer (to students, people of faith, anyone who inquires about Christian yoga) as to why and how we integrate biblical truth into our yoga teachings.
